Jim came over today and I just wanted to say thank you. He was super efficient, organized, professional and friendly. He reviewed everything with me at the beginning and at the end of the job and kept me posted throughout the day as he proceeded from one task to another. And, as you know, there were many tasks. He uncovered some problems that could have become serious and answered all my questions. It points out how important it is to have a relationship over time with Rakeman and someone on your staff who is familiar with our house. I would be very pleased if Jim would be available to return next year (and in the interim if necessary) to ensure that all the plumbing in our house is operating properly and maintained/replaced/repaired as necessary.

My name is Betty and I am a 51 year old school teacher. I moved here about two years ago from the Southern California area. A few months back when I got home from work, I pull into my driveway and lo-in-behold . . . I see water running down my drive and flowing down the street. I opened my garage and saw that water was pouring from around the water heater. I must admit I really started to panic. I mean with all of the horror stories that I have heard from many of my neighbors and their experiences that they have had with plumbing outfits in this town and thought to myself “Oh Mercy Mercy Me.” After the initial shock of the river running down my drive set in, I realized that I must call someone and I had better do it fast. Well I had remembered hearing an ad on the radio for Rakeman Plumbing and so that was who I figured I would start with calling first. Well let me say that there would be no second or third calls even made because when I called Rakeman Plumbing they took control of t[he situation.]

Had a water heater blowout. Water heater 2 1/2 years old. The lady on the phone said it was still under warranty. Did not know until the repair tech showed up that under warranty meant $500. Knowing that I would have run this through my home insurance. But that's on me. I should have asked.

Money aside, service was fast. The tech even spent time and showed me how to replace the anode rod & flush the water heater to extend life.

I had been without water for 4 days because the first guy that came out said he couldn’t fix the leak til the water from the leak dried up. I live in a mobile home so I proceeded to remove all the skirting from the back end of my home to give the ground a chance to dry up. Then this other guy comes to give me an estimate on how much and then says this will be an easy fix, I can do it right now!!!!! How wonderful!! I hadn’t had running water in days!!!! Thank goodness for Junior!!!! If you want a job well done and quick, make sure you get Junior to do it for you! If it wasn’t for him, I’m sure I wouldn’t have my water back on. Thanks again!

On August 20th, 2010, we had a drain backup problem. We called Rakeman and Junior was dispatched. He did his usual excellent work and the drain is now free running.As Junior was leaving, I meant to tip him for his extraordinary service. I pulled a bill out of my pocket and handed it to him sight unseen. I had assumed that it was a $20 since I had a set amount of $20 bills in my pocket. Later that day, I pulled the money out of my pocket and found that I had the exact quantity of $20 bills I began the day with and probably had slipped him a very insignificant bill by mistake.

Enclosed in this letter is a copy of our bill and a $20 bill which should have been given to Junior. Please pass this bill on to him with our sincere thanks for a job well done.
